Saturday, April 13th from 10a-4p at the East Orange ShopRite. We’re
also having booth sales around the school April 11th & April 16th-18th.
We’ll need parents to help out at the sales. Please see Ms. Tamika as she’s
coordinating the booth sales
Finally, this just in from the council – anyone who buys 5 or more boxes will get entered into a drawing to win an iPad! Let your customers know, "why buy 1 when you can buy 5?"
Aquarium Trip
Don't forget to turn in your $25 deposit for the Aquarium
trip. The deposit is due April 12th. Deposits must be paid even for those
whose balance is covered by cookie credit. Permission slips, hotel details and
itinerary will follow once have a final count. The trip is an overnight the first weekend in June. There is limited space for parents as we will be traveling by school bus. All parents in attendance will have children, in addition to their own, in their care and in their hotel room.
Flapjack Fundraiser
Don’t forget to get your tickets for the Flapjack Fundraiser on
May 18th. The $10 tickets will be available beginning April 12th. As always we're
going to need parent helpers. Please see Ms. Monique to volunteer. If each family is responsible for 2 tickets we'll meet our goal. In addition, the girl scout who sells the most tickets will receive a $20 Visa gift card like, junior Sidney Bailey. Each Remember this fundraiser reduces the cost of the Aquarium trip.
Picture Day
Make your hair looks cute and uniform neat – it’s time for the
EOCCS troops to be immortalized in print. Leaders and girls will be taking
pictures for the yearbook on April 12th. If you need a uniform, it can be
purchased from the council store at 120 Valley Rd, Montclair or online at http://www.girlscoutshop.com/HEART-OF-NEW-JERSEY-COUNCIL.
Bottle Tops
Don’t forget we’re helping
Brownie, Quinn Pierce, with her community service project. Quinn collects water
and soda bottle tops. Every 2,500 tops she that collects pays for a
chemotherapy treatment for a cancer patient. So far she’s collected
almost 3,000 tops. Let’s help Quinn to help more cancer patients. Remember to
bring your bottle tops to Girl Scout meetings for the rest of the year and
we’ll see how many more people we can help!
