Cookie Sale News

It seems like it just got started, but the 2022 Cookie Sale is winding down. The cookie sale ends March 27th Believe it or not - I am out of cookies right now. All we have are cookies for this weekend's booth sales and a little extra. I need all final orders by Friday, March 25th to ensure that I can get more cookies by Thursday. Initial orders, re-orders and booth sale participation count towards cookie sales, so there’s still time to work towards cookie trophies. And no, I still can't get S'mores. 😊

Booth Sales

A booth sale is when the troop goes to various locations to sell cookies to the public. We have set up several sales. Some of them are listed below but more are to come. Girls who participate in the booth sales, can earn higher levels of prizes and earn a booth sale patch. You don't have to be there the entire sale; the usual shift is 2 hours. If you would like to participate in one of the booth sales let Mrs. Holman know. Our first booth sale is this weekend at Shoprite in East Orange.

Saturday, 3/19 - East Orange Shoprite 10a-2p

Sunday, 3/20 - Staples, 235 Prospect St, W Orange, 11a-3p

Wednesday, 3/23 - EOCCS, 3:30-6:00p

Thursday, 3/24 - EOCCS, 3:30-6:00p

Camp-Out

Join us for the Great Girl Scout Camp-Out, June 17th-19th. We’ll be participating in a wide variety of outdoor activities including hiking, boating, arts and crafts, archery and more. Of course we’ll have campfires and S’mores. Brownies &

Daisies will sleep in cabins, while Juniors and up will sleep in platform tents. Everyone will need a sleeping bag or bed roll, as we’ll be using cots. It's $40.00 per person and includes all activities, food, tent camping and transportation. A deposit of $20.00 per person is due April 1st. Cookie Credit can be used for the balance, which is due May 20th.

Sail Away, Finally!

We’re off to Bermuda! We instituted a trip just for girls who had completed the 8th grade. COVID put it on hold, but since cruising restrictions have been lifted it’s back. The inaugural Senior & Ambassador Cruise is just 120 days away! It’s time to make those final payments towards the cruise - ⅔ of the balance is due April

15th and the last ⅓ is due June 15th All ticketed parents will receive a message with balance updates.

All girls who have completed the 8th will be able to take a cruise with the troop. Eligible older girls can take the trip every 3 years, starting in 2022 and continuing in 2025. Girls have banked their cookie credit, for 3 years, to cover the cost of the cruise.

Dues, Dues, Dues!

Don’t forget- Girl scouts dues were payable in October, November and December. Even if you receive financial assistance for registration from the

council, you are still responsible for your troop dues. Dues covers, books, snacks, materials. You are required to be current on your dues to participate in any end of the year activities. Individual dues notices will go home Friday, March 18th. You can pay your dues electronically using one of our accepted payment methods below.

How Would You Like to Pay?

We have 2 ways to accept payments. Dues and trips can be paid through PayPal and CashApp. For Paypal, use our email address charter_girlscouts@yahoo.com or paypal.me/CharterScouts. You can also use CashApp. Our cash tag is $CharterGirlScouts. Both payment methods send the money directly to our bank account and give you automatic transaction records.
