Disney on Ice!!

We’ve got a limited number of tickets to see Disney on Ice – Frozen and Encanto at the Prudential Center in Newark on Friday, January 3rd at 7p. (We’ll be leaving right after the meeting). Tickets are $32 per person for this family event, and all are welcome to attend. Bring the whole family- brothers, aunts, cousins and more. Tickets are on a first come, first serve basis. Our tickets are on the lower level in Section 1. Get yours ASAP, as our tickets usually go fast. 

Please let me know if you need transportation to Prudential Center. We have limited bus transportation to the show. Unaccompanied girl scouts have guaranteed seating on the bus.

 

Cookie Sale 2025

Cookie time is almost here! The 2025 Cookie Sale kicks off Monday, January 6th. Please make sure to complete the product sale permission slip at the following link to participate. https://gshnj2.formstack.com/forms/annual_troop_girl_permission_form.

The 2025 cookie mascot is the Giant Panda, a mammal native to China. The Panda is endangered because bamboo forests, its main source of food, are disappearing throughout China. Make sure your daughter attends the meeting on January 3rd as we’ll be distributing the cookie information. All cookies, which are the same as last year, will sell for $6.00/box.

All parents MUST register for Digital Cookie. You will receive an email to register for Digital Cookie in late December. With Digital Cookie, parents can post links to the cookie sale on their personal social media sites to publicize the sale and take online cookie sales. Please email us at charter_girlscouts@yahoo.com, if you don’t receive your welcome email from GSUSA by December 31st.

All paper and digital orders are due on January 25th, in order to count towards the initial sale and rewards. You can place your order online and pay through Digital Cookie using a debit or credit card. You will also be able to complete the paper order form link (shared at a later date) and pay with PayPal, Venmo or Zelle. More information will follow on how to submit your order.

Dues 

You've paid your $40 registration to the council. Now what? There is still $75 troop dues which supports the troop. Dues were payable in 3 installments of $25.00 each.

 The first dues installment was due on Friday, October 4th. The second installment was due on November 1st, while the final payment was due on December 6th. Alternatively, you can pay the full amount at one time. Remember, troop dues cover the cost of books, badges, other supplies and snacks. All girls must be current on their dues to participate in the 2025 Cookie Sale. If you are unsure of your daughter’s balance, you can message me through the Remind app. All girl scouts with outstanding dues balances will receive payment reminders on Friday, January 17th, as dues must be paid before cookie orders are turned in.
