Senior Luncheon

The Girl Scouts are hosting their annual luncheon for the seniors at Norman Towers in East Orange on Saturday, November 16^th.

All girls must be in uniform be dropped off by 11:15am. Families that stay are asked to participate in the event and not only observe. Parents must provide transportation to and from the event. Lke last year, we're using SignUpGenius to organize food donations. Please make sure you signup by dish. Here's a link to donate.

In addition, our toiletry gift bags supplement seniors' incomes. Please send in trial size toiletries for the gift bags. Toiletry donations were due Friday, November 1st.

Dues 

You're registered! Now what? There is still $75 troop dues which supports the troop. Dues are payable in 3 payments of $25.00 each.

The first dues payment was due on Friday, October 4^th. The second payment was due on November 1^st, while the final payment is due on December 6^th. Alternatively, you can pay the full amount at one time. Remember, troop dues covers the cost of books, other supplies and snacks.  

^{Winter Accessory Drive}

We're having a winter accessory drive! While homeless children and families frequently get donated coats, they don't always get accessories. So for four weeks, we're collecting hats, scarves and gloves to give to children and adults who are less fortunate.Last year we collected a large bag of accessories and even 1 coat!  Look for a Christmas-wrapped collection box in any building. We'll be collecting until December 13th.

Uniforms

Our troops uniform consists of a girl scout polo, vest and khaki skirt or pants. The vest, along with the council patch and flag, can be purchased at the council shop for approximately $30.00. Daises & Brownies have the option of purchasing the matching skort from the council. You can also purchase a pair of Khaki pants. Purchasing a Starter kit is not necessary. The nearest shop is located at 201 E. Grove St, Westfield, NJ.

Please note, girls MUST have vest to be considered in uniform. Wearing the girl scout colors is NOT sufficient nor are graphic T-shirts. In addition, only age level badges go on the front of the uniform, Nut, Cookie and other fun patches must be placed on the back.

Our Pink Thanks! 

Thank you to all the girls and parents who came out and supported our efforts at the Breast Cancer Walk on October 13th. We gave out 13 cases of water to the walkers! 

Fall Camping thanks and more.... 

We had a greattime camping at Hoover despite the rain on pack-up day. Clear your calendar because we'll being doing it again at the end of April.
