Breast Cancer Walk
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the EOCCS Girl Scouts have our own breast cancer survivor: Ms. Vera. Once again, to show our support we’re going to help out at the Breast Cancer Walk in Newark on Sunday October 16th.
This year the older girls are being asked to with setting up the event for the walkers from 7:30-10:00a. Girls who assist with set-up will receive a community service certificate which they can use to document required service for graduation.
Like last year, we will also be cheering on walkers, from, 9:00am-11:30am, as they stride to eliminate cancer. All cheerers must be at Mulberry Commons Park, 165 Mulberry St, across from the Prudential Center in Newark, by 9:00am.
As always, the health and safety of the participants is paramount to the organizers. The walk will have staggered start times, to encourage social distancing. Because the walk is eco-friendly, everyone is encouraged to bring their own re-useable water bottles.
Please complete this google form if you plan to attend by Monday, October 10th - https://forms.gle/qzSe2tHvDZh5fKKN9, so that we can get an accurate count. If possible, girls should wear uniforms and pink accessories to demonstrate their support for the cause.
Disney on Ice - Canceled!
Unfortunately, this event is canceled. If you have attended with us in the past, we have always been seated in the bottom tier. However, we were not able to get our promised seat location. In error, our ticket agent secured tickets for the 2nd tier.
