 Breast Cancer Walk

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the EOCCS Girl Scouts have our own breast cancer survivor: Ms. Vera. Once again, to show our support we’re going to help out at the Breast Cancer Walk in Newark on Sunday October 15th.  

Like last year, the older girls are being asked to with setting up the event for the walkers from 7:30-10:00a. Girls who assist with set-up will receive a community service certificate which they can use to document required service for graduation.

As always, we will also be cheering on walkers, from, 10:00am-11:30am, as they stride to eliminate Breast cancer. All cheerers must be at Mulberry Commons Park, 165 Mulberry St, across from the Prudential Center in Newark, by 9:30am. Come early if you want to park, as the lot next to the event will close at 9:00am. 

If possible, girls should wear uniforms and pink accessories to demonstrate their support for the cause. Make sure you dress for the weather. This is a rain or shine event!
