Beach Jam

Our end of the year trip to Beach Jam is this weekend. Because we’re leaving at 5:00pm, girls should bring their bags to school. We’ll be back early afternoon on Sunday. Final payments are due tomorrow, June 1st. 

There were several girls who wanted to go, but couldn’t because they missed the deadline. Unfortunately, due to family circumstances, we have extra tickets from girls who can no longer attend. Please let me know by Thursday, if you would like your daughter to go. You can also text me on Remind if you have any questions. 

Special Age Level Trips

Because so many girls couldn’t attend Beach Jam for various reasons, we added a day trip for each age level. Permission slips for all the special trips were sent home. Please let me know if you need one. 

Daisy and Brownie Trip. Not the camping type? We have a separate trip just for younger Girl Scouts. We are going to SkyZone in Springfield to have lots of fun while we jump, spin, flip, and a whole lot more on Sunday June 11th from 2:00-6:15p. The cost is $25, which
includes transportation, admission and jump socks. However, girls can use up to $15 of their cookie credit to cover the cost. Please contact me to find out how much of it you have. A $10 deposit is due Friday, June 2nd to hold your spot. The balance is due on Friday, June 9th. 

Junior Trip. Couldn't fit the overnight trip into your schedule? Here's a separate trip for
Juniors who want to tap into their sleuthing side.  We're going to the Amazing Escape Room in Bloomfield to see if you can break out of a locked room on Sunday, June 11th from 10:45a-1:30p. The cost is $25, which includes transportation and admission. However, girls can use up to $15 of their cookie credit to cover the cost. Please contact me to find out how much of it you have. A $10 deposit is due Friday, June 9th to hold your spot. The balance is due on Friday, June 9th. 

OG Trip.

Missed the deadline to for Beach Jam?  Here's a separate trip for OGs who want
to tap into their adventurous side. We're going to iFly in Paramus to experience the sensation of indoor skydiving in a vertical wind tunnel, on Monday, June 26th, 12:45-4:15p. Sneakers are a must! The cost is $50, which includes transportation, admission and all equipment. However, girls can use up to $30 of their cookie credit to cover the cost. Please contact me to find out how much of it you have. A $20 deposit is due Friday, June 2nd to hold your spot. The balance is due on Friday, June 9th. 

Ceremony

Please join us for our end of the year recognition ceremony on Friday, June 9th from 5-6:30p in the Multipurpose Room at 99 Washington St. Girls will be recognized for all the hard work they have done this year. It's going to be a great party! Light Refreshments will be served. Let us know if you would be able to donate a dish for the celebration. Girls should have their scout uniforms and do NOT need to be picked up from school.

Registration

It’s not too early to register for the 2023-2024 scout year. Registration is $40 for the upcoming year. You can send the payment by CashApp, just make sure to include your daughter’s name. You can also create an account and register online at gshnj.org. If you need a financial assistance form, they will be available at the ceremony. It's essential that you register soon, as we’re going camping early in September and only registered girls will be able to attend.
