They're Baaacck!

Cookies will be back on Thursday, February 27^th. You’ll be able to pick up Thursday, 3-7p, Saturday, 3:30-7:30p and Sunday 10a-2p. We have a TON of extra cookies, so keep selling. Remember the cookie sale ends March 29^th. We’re also going to be holding booth sales. Make sure you sign up for one. Remember, the sales from the booth sales are shared between girls to increase their prize level.

Beach Jam

Our end of the year trip will be to Beach Jam! What’s Beach Jam? It’s a weekend of waterparks, rides, barbecue and fun. The cost of the trip is $65 and includes admission, food, transportation and camping. We’ll be sleeping in tents on the Beach in Wildwood. The trip is May 30 & 31. A non-refundable deposit of $25 is due April 3rd. Girls can earn 30¢per box sold, to cover the rest of the trip. We only have 45 spaces on the bus, so unless you plan to drive, make sure your deposit is timely. All Daisies must be accompanied by an adult. The final payment is due May 15th and will be adjusted for cookie sales. 

Remember watching the Addams Family show and cartoon? We’re going to see Addams Family, the play. Although we need parent chaperones, this is a girl scout only event because we have limited tickets. We’ll get to talk to some of the performers before they show. Transportation will be provided. The show is Saturday, March 21^st at 7:30p at NJCU in Jersey City. We’ll be leaving the school at 5:30 and returning around 10p. The girls Tickets are $10 and all money is due, Friday, March 13^th no exceptions.

Spring Camping

We’re going camping again to Camp Lou Henry Hoover in Newton, NJ, the weekend of April 24-26. We'll spend Friday and Saturday nights sleeping in cabins. We'll have a fun day, get to go paddle boating, do archery, tackle a ropes course, hiking and more, including badge workshops. Although we are not sleeping in tents, everyone will need a sleeping bag or bed roll. It's $15 per girl ($20 per adult) and includes all activities, food, tent camping and transportation. Due to their age, all Daisies must be accompanied by an adult. We have limited cabin space, so pay for the trip asap! The payment deadline is April 3^rd.

Booth Sales

A booth sale is when the troops goes to various locations to sell cookies to the public. We have set up several sales. Some of them are listed below but more are to come. Girls who participate in the booth sales, can earn higher levels of prizes and earn a booth sale patch. You don't have to be there the entire sale; the usual shift is 2 hours. If you would like to participate in one of the booth sales let Mrs. Holman know. Watch you text messages because we are still scheduling them. Our first booth sale is the weekend at Penn Station in Newark. 

Dues, Dues, Dues!

Don’t forget- Girl scouts dues were payable in October, November and December. Even if you receive financial assistance for registration from the council, you are still responsible for your troop dues. Dues covers, books, snacks, materials. You are required to be current on your dues to participate in cookie sales. Individual dues notices went home in January; 2nd reminders will go home March 6^th.
