A big thanks to all the girls and their parents who came out and volunteered at the Breast Cancer Walk. We distributed 18 cases of water to the walkers! Check out our facebook page for pictures of the event.    

Nut Sale

Missed the initial Nut Order? The nut sale is still going, so there's still time to place your order. Money for the late order is due Friday, November 16th. The Nut Sale started on Monday. All registered girls received have received a packet with the details. There are 4 ways to earn badges,1) complete the address booklet, 2) enter 15 email addresses in Unify,3) sell magazines & candles online, and 4) sell nuts & candy. Late orders will be back after Thanksgiving. The summary form lists everything that must be handed in for the sale and must be turned in instead of order form.   

Senior Luncheon

The Girl Scouts are hosting their annual luncheon for the seniors at Norman Towers in East Orange on Saturday, November 17^th.

All girls must be in uniform to and must be dropped off by 11:15am. Families that stay are asked to participate in the event, not only observe. Parents must provide transportation to and from the event. This year, we're using SignUpGenius to organize food donations. Here's a link to donate.

In addition, our toiletry gift bags supplement seniors' income. Please send in trial size toiletries for the gift bags. Toiletry donations are due Friday, November 16th.

Dues

Remember, if you received financial assistance from the Girl Scout council, that only covers registration, not our troop  dues. Dues for our troops are $75 for the year and covers the cost of books and other supplies for girls, as well as our snacks. The 1^st dues payment was due on October 5^th. The 2^nd dues payment was due on November 2^nd. The 3rd and final payment is due to Mrs. Mack, our treasurer, on December 7^th

^{Winter Accessory Drive}

We're having a winter accessory drive! While homeless children and families frequently get donated coats, they don't always get accessories. So for six weeks, we're collecting hats, scarves and gloves to give to children and adults who are less fortunate. Look for a collection box in our buildings. We'll be collecting until December 15th.
